Water Exercise Classes
Water exercise classes utilize the constant resistance and buoyancy of the water all around you to improve cardiovascular fitness, build strengh, increase flexibility, gain muscle tone, and reduce body fat. Water aerobics is terrific workouts for cross-training activity for runners, cyclists, pregnant women, elderly people, multiple sclerosis patients, osteoporosis, or other degenerative medical conditions. The Arthritis Foundation YMCA Aquatic Program is a program for adults with arthritis or other related medical conditions including those who are generally deconditioned and cannot endure sustained activities. Classes focus on improving overall movement and performance of daily tasks like flexibility, balance, and coordination.
