Basic Life Support

Course description:

The purpose of the American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course is to ensure that individuals with a duty to respond (public safety professionals and healthcare providers) have the requisite knowledge and skills to respond to patients who are experiencing respiratory and cardiac arrest and airway obstruction. The emphasis is on providing high-quality care integrating psychomotor skills with the skills of critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.Successful students will receive a certificate for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) and is valid for two years.

Registration:

The cost to take the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course is $115 and includes course materials. If you are looking to recertify the cost is $90. Alternative Dates:

Do none of the  training dates work for your schedule? We only need a minimum of 4 students to run a CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers course. If you’d like to propose an alternative date for a training please contact Senior Program Director Zachary Swierat at zswierat@ymca-cnw.org.

Group Trainings:

If you have a group looking to be trained, such as a lifeguard team or summer camp staff we’re happy to bring our training to you.
