Group Exercise Classes

Full members at the White Plains YMCA are entitled to participate in our weekly Group Exercise Classes. These classes are designed to offer a variety of workouts and exercises for members of all ages. Classes on our Group Exercise schedule are designed to be stand alone courses - members can join at any time regardless if they are a beginner or experienced student. If you have children, also make sure that you check out our Group Exercise classes for Youth. Classes on the Group Exercise schedule include;

Aquacise

A low impact aerobics and strength class held in the shallow and deep end of the pool (flotation device supplied). This class utilizes the resistance and buoyancy of the water to tone the muscles and improve cardiovascular health.

Body Conditioning

A full body workout designed to strengthen and tone the upper and lower body using hand held weights.

Bodypump®/Body Pump Express®

The original barbell class that shapes, tones and strengthens your entire body. The key to BODYPUMP® is THE REP EFFECT® a breakthrough in fitness training focusing on high repetition movements with low weight loads. Get the results you are looking for... FAST!

Boot Camp

An efficient circuit training workout that challenges your entire body, using body weight exercises such as pushups, jumping jacks, crunches and other body weight exercises.

Hatha Yoga

A yoga class that integrates postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation to stretch, strengthen and condition. This is a great class to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques and become comfortable with yoga.

Spinning®

A great cardio workout of simulated road bike riding to energizing music, appropriate for all fitness levels. You can adjust your workout to match your level. The instructors will lead you on a ride designed to improve your fitness on a variety of levels.

Zumba®

Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music, utilizing dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness program. The routines feature a combo of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.
