As previously communicated, following many years and significant costs associated with the upkeep of the aging YMCA building on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, we made the decision to list the building for sale earlier this year. It is our intent to move to a non-facility YMCA model, which leverages other non-YMCA owned locations to bring existing and new services to our members.
I wanted to make you aware that Southern Land has announced that they are the developer that has entered into a due diligence agreement with us. The process will allow for the company to further study the feasibility of a plan to redevelop the current Mamaroneck Avenue location.
It is important to note that our time frame remains the same as previously communicated. We anticipate that the feasibility study will show that this project can continue. At that point, we expect it would be at least another 12 months for land use approvals before work could begin.
