Splashweek is a cooperative effort run by the White Plains YMCA, the YWCA White Plains and Central Westchester and White Plains Recreation and Parks. It is designed to help children and adults learn basic swimming skills and water safety practices. Learning these skills helps to build confidence and self-esteem. Swimmers will grow stronger in body, mind and spirit.
As a part of Splashweek the White Plains YMCA will be offering beginner swim classes and aquatics fitness classes, open and free to the public. All classes are designed for beginners and can be attended by both members and non-members of the YMCA. Please note that pre-registration is required for all classes and there may be limited slots available. Classes are available between Monday, April 10th to Thursday April 13th and you may register for one of the classes offered during the week. We will be wrapping up the week with the Swim Jamboree, an open recreation swim session on Friday April 14th from 2:30PM to 4:30PM. Pre-registration for the jamboree is not required although we do have a maximum capacity for swimmers. All classes and programs will be on a first-come-first serve basis.
Splashweek has nearly come to an end! You can still join us for the Swim Jamboree on Friday, April 14th!
