The White Plains YMCA Day Camp is designed to provide a positive camp experience, in a safe and accepting environment. Well-trained, qualified staff, serve as positive role models for campers. The YMCA Day camp experience enhances camper’s self confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills through well planned fun activities. Campers develop a true understanding of diversity in an atmosphere of acceptance and approval. They learn to appreciate the environment and ways to take an active role in protecting and conserving it. Our focus is on social development and team-work.
Schedule: Camp is available from June 26th to August 18th, from 8:00AM to 4:00PM for regular camp or from 8:00AM to 6:30PM for extended day camp. Camp is divided into weekly segments and campers can be registered for one or more sessions.
Ages: The White Plains YMCA offers summer programs for ages 5 to 12 years old. Each program is uniquely designed focusing on developmentally appropriate practices encouraging independence, self control and conflict resolution building confidence and self esteem through individual and team building activities.
Activities: The Summer Camp program at the White Plains YMCA is designed to keep your kids active and engaged. Some of the activities we have planned including S.T.E.M. programing, art, cooking, sports and instructional swimming. We also have field trips planned including visits to the Bronx Zoo, New Roc Bowling, Quassy Amusement Park, the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium, Movie Theaters, Lego Land and more!
Pricing: Summer camp is priced at $385 per week for the regular session (8:00AM to 4:00PM) or at $470 for extended care (8:00AM to 6:30PM). All campers must pay a $60 registration fee plus a $100 deposit (nonrefundable). We also offer scholarships and accept child subsidies.
